Penny is a Board Certified Patient Advocate, Cancer Guide and End of Life Doula. She is the founder of Peaceful Transitions, a service that focuses on helping individuals and their loved ones through the most significant transitions of their lives. As a healthcare advocate, Penny also works with clients who are facing various medical conditions, offering support throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
She is the Programs, Operations, and Partnerships Director as well as course creator and instructor for International Doula Life Movement Institute. IDLM Institute provides affordable and accessible doula training to any individual ready to make a difference in their community members’ lives. The International Doula Life Movement Institute takes great pride in our signature End of Life Doula certification training program, as well as courses across all areas of doula care. To date, IDLM Institute has trained over 3,000 doulas in 18 countries.
Prior to receiving her certification through IDLM Institute as an end-of-life doula, Penny was the primary caregiver for both of her parents during illness, aging, dementia, and the end of their lives. She was able to fulfill their wishes to pass at home surrounded by loved ones. This inspired her to do everything she could to help others in having as peaceful a transition as possible.
Penny’s previous 24-year career in banking, trust, and wealth management has given her a unique perspective on end-of-life planning and estate settlement that perfectly complements the other aspects of end-of-life doula care. She has a mind for business and a heart for service.
